About

My name is Laura and I love to create. I’ve been making art since I was a little kid, as most kids do, using Crayola products like paints and crayons. Though I developed a greater interest in creating when I was about 9 years old. My main artistic focus is Special FX makeup, which includes anything from simple cuts and bruises, to a full blown decaying zombie. I love horror and anything scary or gory, and even more, I love the ability to create or recreate something terrifying. I have many other artistic abilities, including but not limited to: painting, drawing, sculpting, jewelry making, and woodcarving. I feel proud of the projects I’ve accomplished so far in my life and I’m excited to continue to grow in my craft.

Overview

Laura's Art Shack is a brand name I unknowingly created for myself when I was 13 and on Instagram for the first time. I chose "Art Shack" because that's what the art cabin at my childhood summer camp is called, so the name is very meaningful to me.
Since then, I've been sharing my art through Instagram. Though I focus very heavily on SFX makeup, I have many other artistic abilities and I am always excited to explore new art mediums.
