Fun Projects
This page is dedicated to all of the random projects I do. Each section has progress pictures and some explanations about the creative process. Enjoy!
Side note: this page is best if viewed from a computer or larger screen as the phone tends to mess up the order, sorry for any confusion as a result.
My Decapitated Head!!
I used an app called 'Complete Anatomy 2023' to make sure that everything I sculpted was anatomically correct.
Eye Painting! This part was so fun, I loved getting to study my eyes and make direct replicas of them.
< This is not the exact reference photo I used, as this has been edited slightly to accentuate the warm browns in my eyes. However I did use a macro lens photo so I could accurately capture the radial ridges.
Time for mold making! This type of mold is made using two types of resin (218 and 308). The 218 comes first as the detail layer, then a layer of fiberglass sheets soaked in 308. Then syntactic dough is pressed onto the mold. Lastly, two more layers of fiberglass and 308, the final one being one large beauty sheet for a smooth finish.
The finished product! In the future I would love to do something like this again, and also redo certain aspects of my own, including the hair and eyes. For now, enjoy the anatomy, coloring, and textures this project has to offer.
I used a mix of hair types for my punching. for the hairline and my baby hairs I used my own hair which I had cut the year before and kept in a little ponytail (unrelated). The frizzy hair in this picture is Yak hair, and I bought human hair to fill out the rest of my head. >
Always be on the lookout for more, I love to keep creating so there will always be something new.
